Jim's birthday is tomorrow, 2 June, he'll be 73. We're driving over to the coast for lunch at Duarte's in Pescadero. We both are fond of their artichoke soup and olallieberry pie.

We'll stop at the nursery in Half Moon Bay to pick up some flowering plants for the patio garden. There's a trail just down the coast highway south of Half Moon Bay, a favorite place so we'll have a ramble at the western end of the Purisima Creek Trail.

We haven't been getting out much after the trauma/drama of moving out of the house last month into the (albeit large) one-bedroom/two bath apartment in Webster House. So this birthday outing will be a good expedition to kickoff outward-bound adventures.
When we return home there will be two beautiful bouquets awaiting Jim. Lucky am I to have partnered with a man to whom I can send flowers. Then there's carrot cake and smooching.
