We had an open-house gathering at the Old Farts Home the afternoon of Christmas eve. To my surprise, it was quite a lot fun. Which may have had to do with cognac-laced eggnog, mulled wine and champagne. Plus assorted nibbles. And bounteous bonhomme.
Jim quite loved it and our company loved him. Thus, a successful time for us all. Including Mr. Maggie who was much remarked upon. He is, after all, a prodigiously fine specimen of his breed.
