Well, hello again. The pandemic apparently has accomplished the nigh-on impossible which is to have rendered me wordless for a time. Don’t know how faithful I’ll be going forward but here’s a brief update.
Jim developed a rapidly-growing squamous cell malignant cyst on his left cheek. Excised at the end of July. There is some concern it may have spread to lymph nodes but Jim would not tolerate the diagnostic MRI so there is no way to know. Radiation therapy indicated nonetheless but he can’t tolerate that either. So watch and wait.
I am not wild about pursuing radiation or chemo, etc., given Jim’s circumstances. And, I am not wild about such decisions. Not to be morbid BUT Jim’s residence remains in COVID lockdown so I get to see him only when I escort him to medical appointments so ... this black cloud has a tarnished silver lining.
Meanwhile, I am, um, not great but not dead.
